Stay Matte But Not Flat vs Total Control: Battle of the NYX Foundations with Susana Pillay

Hello everyone- I’d like to take this moment to thank the beautiful Megan for allowing me to share this review with you all & thank you all for coming over to read this post.

Today I’m going to be telling you a little bit about 2 foundations you can get from NYX Professional Makeup. Let’s jump straight in-

NYX Total Control Drop Foundation™ (In shade Vanilla | TCDF 06)

  • 13ml (R230 at Clicks)
  • Dropper Applicator in a Glass Bottle
  • Buildable Coverage
  • Lightweight
  • Gives dry skin a good coverage.
  • Applies well with a Beauty Blender & brush
  • Cruelty free
  • 24 Shades
  • Doesn’t highlight imperfections or crease

NYX Stay Matte but not flat™ liquid foundation (Creamy Natural | SMF 04)

  • 35ml (R150 at Clicks)
  • Squeeze Plastic Bottle
  • Full Coverage
  • Light weight
  • Makes dry skin look a bit cakey
  • Applies well with a Beauty Blender & brush
  • Cruelty free
  • 19 Shades
  • Emphasizes the slightest bit of dryness, fine lines, or flaking.

Overall, I’d say these are both good foundations, I find myself reaching for them time & time again. If you have dry skin & would like to try the Stay matte but not flat foundation™, I’d recommend a good moisturizer/primer, before applying your foundation.

Have you tried these foundations? What did you think?

Thank you for reading.

Until we meet again.
